Spicy Cantaloupe Margarita
It is so hot this time of the year!
August is my least favorite month. I don’t like the heat, and I hide inside with the AC blasting. Anything I drink must be hydrating and tasty, or I don’t want it.
This spicy cantaloupe margarita does just the trick! The coolness of the cantaloupe balances out the spiciness it the jalapeños. Definitely a change to the tradition marg or spicy marg.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cantaloupe;
- 1 jalapeño, diced;
- 3 cups of ice;
- 3 oz of tequila;
- 1 tbsp of fresh lime juice; and
- Paprika.
Directions: Place cantaloupe, lime juice and ice in a blender, and blended until mixture is well blended. Stir in the jalapeño diced and tequila. Place paprika on a medium size plate. Wet the rim of your glasses with the other side of your cantaloupe by pressing your glass into the fruit. Swirl the rim of the glass on the paprika so the rim has a nice coating. Pour your margarita into the glass, top with mint or extra jalapeño! Cheers.
